FAQ

What is Project 305?

Project 305 is an opportunity for Miamians to tell our own collective story of living in Miami by each of us sharing our own distinct perspectives of life in Miami. We are doing this through art, using digital tools, alongside one another.

The project consists of
  • 107 days – January 31 – May 19, 2017 – of Miamians everywhere capturing audio and video clips that represent life in Miami and submitting these clips to New World Symphony.
  • The summer of 2017, when a lead composer and video artist will use all these clips that Miamians submit to create a final music piece and video that will be played together and show life in Miami through the lens of its people.
  • The fall of 2017, when the piece will be played at venues throughout the County, including New World Center, where the piece will premiere in a live performance by the New World Symphony.

We hope that Project 305 offers the opportunity for us to be inspired, self-reflect, gain new understanding our ourselves and others as we share our perspectives with one another.
